Labiaplasty – What is it? History And The Procedure.

Many women all around the world, if asked, would change something about how they look, but often do not speak of these in public. One such options is labiaplasty. Today, it is now a minimally invasive procedure that utilizes lasers for more precision and better recovery…

As far back into history as anyone can go, artists have used a variety of mediums, including paint and clay, to create a rendition of what they believe to be the idealistic version of the female form. And while artists are free to draw or sculpt, even in the twenty-first century, many women are discouraged from openly discussing the sensitive matter of changing their appearance. Many women all around the world, if asked, would change something about how they look, but often do not speak of these in public. However, with the recent popularization of plastic surgery due to a number of factors, including celebrities and reality television shows based on plastic surgeons, women are realizing all the options they have available to them. One such options is labiaplasty. Labiaplasty is also known as labial beautification, labial rejuvenation, labial reduction, and so on.

There is a bit of confusion regarding what labiaplasty actually is. While some feminist groups would like to equate it with genital mutilation, it is actually extremely far from that. It is a choice that is made by hundreds of women all over the world who are educated fully on just what labiaplasty is. It is a reconstructive cosmetic surgical procedure that is minimally invasive. It is done to reduce or correct labia size. While numerous women get a labiaplasty because of physical pain and discomfort caused by sexual intercourse, hygiene and certain clothing, other women do it to enhance the appearance of their vagina, making it more sexually and aesthetically pleasing. In this sense, it is not much different than breast augmentation or a nose job.

Labiaplasty involves reducing the elongated labia. While, as mentioned before, it is done for aesthetic purposes, it can also be done to fix the labia as a result of disease, childbirth, or injury. While it used to be this procedure was only performed on porn stars and swimsuit models, now any woman can get it. Until the late 1990s, this surgical procedure was performed by amputating a number of sections of the labia and then suturing it all together. However, this method had a number of problems, including excessive bleeding and scarring. Today, it is now a minimally invasive procedure that utilizes lasers for more precision and better recovery.

Most women who undergo labiaplasty are put under local anesthesia. While the cosmetic procedure used to warrant an overnight stay in the hospital, it is now an outpatient procedure that is done in just a few hours. While there may be some mild discomfort and swelling after the procedure, that is normal with any cosmetic surgery. These tend to reduce in up to two weeks. While there may be some risk associated with labiaplasty, studies have shown that just seven percent of women who undergo their surgical procedure need to come back into the hospital to receive additional treatment.

If a woman is considering labiaplasty, they should located a few possible plastic surgeons and make an appointment for a consultation. Women need to do their homework and find the best surgeon for the procedure.

Vaginal Rejuvenation Laser Surgery can really help if a woman no longer enjoys the sexual part of the relationship because of not being able to climax. This procedure is done as an outpatient service by a qualified professional.

Your inner vaginal walls as well as the labia change over a period of time. This is due to aging as well as childbirth. The muscles and tissues of the bladder, pelvic muscles as well as the rectum and anus can become affected. When this occurs sexual activity can be limited, uncomfortable or even non-existent. This is due to the fact that the woman no longer enjoys the sexual part of the relationship because of not being able to climax. Vaginal Rejuvenation Laser Surgery can remedy this for you. This procedure is done as an outpatient service by a qualified professional.

After this service is done by a qualified cosmetic surgeon, it normally takes about six weeks to recover. You will be given one after care appointment in which the surgeon will check out the results. This type of operation generally has no side effects and will enhance your sexual activity immensely.

When you schedule yourself into this procedure you will have the surgery performed by a professional in the field of cosmetic surgery. He will cut and suture the area that needs the work done. It can be the labia, pelvic wall, anus, rectum, or bladder. This procedure will tighten these areas immensely.

The cost of this can run you anywhere from four thousand to twenty thousand dollars. This of course is dependent on the amount of tissue that is affected. For example, if the surgeon only performs on one area the cost is lower than if he has to reconstruct both the inner and outer areas. There are exercises that can be done, and they are called the Kegel method, however, the results are slower to appear.

Vaginal Rejuvenation Laser Surgery is the choice of many women who are not longer enjoying the time spent in the boudoir. Once you have this procedure done, you will notice a big difference in how you feel while being intimate. You will have a tighter vagina and the sensations that you feel will peek your arousal.

Why suffer from a loss of your sexual arousal? Sexual dysfunction is prominent in many older women. Many have expressed a feeling of boredom in the bedroom because of being unable to climax or even feel anything will having a sexual encounter with their partner. This new and exciting technology now helps you to rediscover the feelings that you had in your youth. No more disappointments. Vaginal Rejuvenation Laser Surgery awakens the feelings of your inner self. You and your partner will start enjoying your life together once again.

This is of course not covered by any type of medical insurance. Most professionals will offer you a convenient payment plan that is specifically geared to your budget. There is no reason why you cannot partake in this cosmetic procedure. It is affordable and virtually pain free. Talk to a cosmetic surgeon today and see if this procedure will bring you back to the height of arousal, so that you and your partner can enjoy intimacy once again.

Personal Matter - Vaginal Rejuvenation Surgery By Laser

Ladies and gents, let’s talk about something rather personal. Recent survey analysis of several women of different age groups all over the world have stated that they suffer from some sort of sexual dysfunction. The reason behind this is that they are no longer aroused to the climax point when engaging in sexual activity. These feelings can be the result of several factors. Some of the most common factors are age, stamina, lack of interest, low arousal, as well as childbirth. Although the vaginal health of most women return to a state of similar normalcy, note the word similar here, it is not completely the same as before.

Through repeated sexual activity, giving birth and aging, the inner vaginal walls as well as the outer structure of the vagina, including the labia change over a period of time. In other words, the tightness that you had when you were younger has disappeared.  Although there are pelvic exercises, such as the Kegel methods that you can do to try and strength and tone the muscles of the inner vaginal walls, the results are either not significant enough or take too long to accomplish that many women do not follow through with them.

Vaginal Rejuvenation Laser Surgery is often the choice of many women. This procedure is performed by a licensed cosmetic surgeon who performs the procedure on you as an outpatient. This means that there are relatively little if any side effects, other than the pain and discomfort of having your vaginal wall or labia, cut and stitched.

This procedure is performed by a cosmetic surgeon who has been fully trained in his field. There is little risk in having this procedure done and so much more to gain. Muscles and tissues that make up the rectum, anus, labia, bladder and pelvic muscles change over time. Getting these areas cut and stitched in order to tighten the muscles will enable those with minimal arousal feelings to perhaps climax after not having done so for many years.

The procedure costs between four and twenty thousand dollars. Many providers of this service also take payment plans. They often work out a personal plan with each patient in order to facilitate the needs of that certain individual. Other than a six week recovery period that also involves a one time check up, this procedure is virtually pain free way to fully start enjoying the sexual side of your relationship once again.

What is Vaginoplasty and Vaginal Rejuvenation - Details and FAQs

Many of our patients from La Nouvelle Center for Aesthetic Surgery, Liposuction and Vaginal Rejuvenation ask about vaginal rejuvenation and the difference between labiaplasty and vaginoplasty. In this article I would like to cover the main difference between these two procedures and also concentrate on Labiaplasty. You can read in more details about vaginoplasty in my next article.

So, what is Vaginal Rejuvenation?
This a surgical procedure that helps to restore, improve and correct the cosmetic appearance of the labia and the vagina for either cosmetic reasons, better sexual function reasons or help with pain and irritation from wearing clothes. Labiaplasty and Vaginoplasty are two distinct procedures sometimes labeled Vaginal Rejuvenation. Labiaplasty is the procedure to cosmetically correct and enhance the appearance of the outer lips or labia. Vaginoplasty is to make the vagina smaller and tighter.

What is Vaginoplasty in more details?
A vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure that tightens the vagina. This is done by removing excess of vaginal lining and tightening the surrounding soft tissues and muscles.
During delivery of a baby the vagina and surrounding tissues and muscles become stretched. After delivery the vagina may return to a more "normal" size, but it often fails to return to its pre-pregnancy diameter. Generally, the more vaginal deliveries, the worse the condition gets. Many women will complain of decreased sensation and sexual satisfaction during intercourse. Commonly this is due to a lack of friction. Often their partner may notice a change although he may say nothing. Kegel exercises are often recommended but rarely succeed in restoring vaginal tightness.

Vaginoplasty surgery will tighten the vagina and surrounding tissues yielding a vaginal tightness similar to before the patient had children.

We have also had numerous patients who feel loose although they have never had children. On physical exam they indeed had a vaginal diameter that was greater than expected. Vaginoplasty surgery can help these women as well. Many years of experience in vaginal reconstructions surgery made Dr. Hanna one of the best surgeons in Vaginoplasty.
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions.

Why Would I Want Vaginoplasty Surgery?
Most women who desire a Vaginoplasty complain of feeling "loose". They note decrease of friction during intercourse resulting in lower levels of sexual satisfaction and more difficulty in climaxing. Vaginoplasty will increase friction during intercourse. After surgery, the vaginal tightness is similar to the pre-baby days. You will easily feel the difference and so will your partner.

What are the risks associated with Vaginoplasty Surgery?
The most common risks of surgery may include bleeding, infection, and scarring, however these are very unusual. Bleeding is controlled at the time of surgery and antibiotics are given postoperatively to prevent infection. With our surgical techniques scarring is very rare.

Where is the Vaginoplasty Surgery performed?
The surgery is performed in our outpatient surgical suite located at our Vaginal Rejuvenation Center, within the same building of the office.

What is the average length of Vaginoplasty Procedure?
The average length of vaginoplasty procedure is between 1 and 2 hours. An additional hour is spent in our recovery room under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

What type of anesthesia is used for Vaginoplasty Surgery?
We perform this procedure under conscious sedation usually using a very short acting medication named Diprovan (propophol). You will be asleep during the procedure and will awaken within minutes after the surgery is completed. Please note that this is different at other facilities where the patient is often awake during the surgical procedure. We feel that our patients are more comfortable using this form of anesthesia.

What is the postoperative period like?
You will have discomfort at the surgical site for the first few days, which will then decrease. Patients are sent home with prescriptions for pain medications and antibiotics. Full healing takes approximately six weeks. All sutures used are absorbable and therefore do not need to be removed.

When can I return to work after Vaginoplasty Surgery?
Most patients return to work within two to three weeks.

When can I resume sexual activity after Vaginoplasty?
In approximately four to six weeks after surgery.

Can Labiaplasty and Vaginoplasty Procedures be done at the same time?
Yes. Both procedures can be done at the same time.
